JOINING THE PROGRAMWhat is the WebFarm Affiliate Program? [ top ]The WebFarm Affiliate Program pays web site owners a commission for every customer who results in a successful domain names, e-mail, hosting, or e-commerce account registration from the affiliate web site. What does it mean to be an "Affiliate"? [ top ] Affiliate means to be associate or connected. Affiliate programs are basically partnerships between businesses and webmasters. It is an innovative and convenient way to expand markets. Sometimes affiliate programs are referred to as associate, partner or referral programs. What type of Web sites may be part of the WebFarm Affiliate Program? [ top ] Most sites which are currently with Freeparking or 2day.com are welcome to join the Affiliate Program as long as they are not adult sites, warez, ROM or emulator sites, and sites which promote or engage in illegal activity, hateful or racist speech. WebFarm maintains the sole right to choose its affiliate members and to cancel affiliate memberships at its discretion. My Web site is not built yet. Can I still join? [ top ] Your web site must be up and running in order to join the WebFarm Affiliate Program, since it needs to be reviewed by us and approved before you may become a member. We ask that you request membership in the Affiliate Program when you have finished building your site. What does it cost to join? [ top ] There is no cost to join WebFarm's Affiliate Program. How long does it take to be approved? [ top ] WebFarm reviews your affiliate application and will check your web site for approval. Allow up to 5 business days for this process. WebFarm reserves the right to cancel the membership if a site is not in compliance with the WebFarm program requirements. See terms & conditions. Are Websites outside of New Zealand eligible to become a Affiliate? [ top ] Yes, WebFarm welcomes web sites outside of New Zealand to apply for our Program as long as they have a web site with Freeparking or 2day.com and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Do I have to have Domain Name Servers (DNS) to become an affiliate? [ top ] No. WebFarm does not require local name servers in order to join. All domain names registered will be parked on the Freeparking or 2day.com name servers. What's the difference between a reseller and an affiliate? [ top ] When considering involvement with the hosting industry the question arises of whether to become a reseller or an affiliate. A reseller actually on sells products and keeps 100% of the profit whereas the affiliate simply acts as a marketing tool to refer business and keeps a percentage of the sale. The reseller provides all services for their customers as they would their own business: ordering process, delivery and customer service. An affiliate's involvement, on the other hand, ends once the visitor leaves their site Can I be both a WebFarm reseller and a WebFarm affiliate? [ top ] No. You must either choose to be a reseller or an affiliate. What products and services are included in the Affiliate Program? [ top ] Currently Freeparking offers commissions on domain names, e-mail, shared hosting packages, and SSL Certificates. 2day.com offers commissions on domain names, shared hosting, MS SQL hosting, and dedicated servers. For more information see the information on commissions below. Can I be both a Freeparking and 2day.com affiliate? [ top ] Yes. You can place links on your site for both Freeparking and 2day.com and get paid commissions accordingly as long they comply with the terms and conditions. AFFILIATE LINKSHow do I create links to Freeparking or 2day.com? [ top ]Upon completion of your registration, you will be sent an acceptance e-mail with your user name and password. You can then log into the WebFarm Affiliate Management System and click on "Create Links". You will then be able to copy and paste the appropriate HTML coding into your web site. Where should I place the links on my site? [ top ] You should place your link where it is easy for your visitors to find. This will increase the chance of click-throughs to our site, which will ultimately result in higher commissions for you! Can I change the links provided? [ top ] No. All WebFarm intellectual property must not be altered without permission. Intellectual property includes scripting, images, media and any other items supplied by WebFarm's Affiliate Program. REGISTRATION TRACKING AND PAYMENTAre there a minimum number of sales I need to refer?? [ top ]No! There is no minimum number of sales required to become or remain an affiliate. Obviously, the more sales generated through your site, the more commission you get paid! How much do I get paid in commission? [ top ] WebFarm will pay commission rates as listed in Table A or Table B on the Payment schedule of the Affiliate Sales site. How often do commissions get paid? [ top ] WebFarm pays commissions by direct credit to your bank account on a monthly basis in NZ dollars, as long as the total commission balance in your affiliate account is greater than $50. WebFarm will credit payments by the 10th of the month for payment of affiliate commissions from the previous month and earlier (if the balance was less than $50 in a previous month). An e-mail will be sent to the affiliate to advise a payment has been made. How can I monitor my commissions on a daily basis? [ top ] Customers can monitor their account by logging in with their user name and password. Commissions/Tracking are updated in real time as the registrations take place.
